Together with ORS we started to working on a direct connection to our internal reservation system SiBook in 2010... "It was in 2010 when we started talking about a direct connection to their system, ORS was the first company to undertake such an extensive project of connecting to our internal system SiBook. The biggest challenge was to ensure the technically appropriate export of data and it was also necessary to ensure booking communication, which, in addition to the reservation itself, also included the calculation of the total price for all passengers, the possibility of cancellations, options and much more. Together, we also had to work out the so-called object mapping, which in practice means that the objects we export (hotels, apartments,...) are standardized to a single ID or denominator for the purposes of uniform display with other providers. Our main goal was to provide our partners (travel agencies) with the possibility of booking Kompas products in the ORS reservation system. And last but not least, we use their IT solutions on our websites meaning ORS system is used for displaying offers on our websites.
